Official offer letters are sent to six candidates for each cohort. Once those references are completed, the Fellows Admin Team, along with hiring managers, decide which candidates to invite to join JAARS Fellows. If a candidate has a successful second interview, the Human Resources Fellow conducts checks with the references provided on the candidateвЂ™s application. This interview includes the interviewee, Fellows Coordinator, and hiring manager. We then pass along qualified candidates to the hiring manager for further review and a second-round Zoom interview. In this interview, we assess competencies and cultural fit, among other things. We review and screen candidates, inviting qualified applicants to an initial phone interview with the current HR Fellow. If more than one position is of interest, there is a place on the application to mark a second and third position preference. Applicants select the position they are most interested in, create an account in our ATS, and complete the application. Applications are submitted through our applicant tracking system (ATS). We then work to review all applications and resumes submitted.

Future project planning included how to use social media to engage minority language groups with Scripture. This past December in Germany, a Scripture Engagement and Social Media Summit was held to explore the significant impact social media can have on Scripture Engagement. In South Asia, the New Testament audio recording for theвЂњSвЂќ language group was completed and JESUS film DVDs in the вЂњKвЂќ language were prepared and arranged for dedication and distribution. The result-access to GodвЂ™s Word in an audio format for people in their heart languages. The JESUS film is dubbed into a local language. Local translation teams, with the assistance of trained staff members, record the entire New Testament or a single book, worship songs and Bible stories. For these oral communities, audio is the answer. They have little reason to pick up a printed Bible. Daily lives are built around personal interactions, not written texts.
